This role will involve daily operation, inspections, and maintenance of the facility, ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel.


About You


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A trade certificate in electrical work;
  • A current Coal Board Order 43 Medical (or willingness to obtain one);
  • An up-to-date resume with contactable references;
  • Proven understanding of safety risks and hazards in a coal handling and processing plant environment;
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and a zero-harm attitude;
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities


Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Identifying and reporting workplace hazards;
  • Maintaining a safe working environment;
  • Operating and maintaining CHPP equipment and facilities;
  • Carrying out regular inspections and repairs;
  • Assisting with mechanical and electrical upgrades;
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness;
  • Developing safe operating procedures and protocols;
  • Participating in pre-start meetings and providing information to incoming teams.
