Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Advanced Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and operating mechanical fittings to specification.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble high precision mechanical components and sub-assemblies
  • Read and interpret technical documents, work instructions, and SOPs to produce components to exact specification
  • Work hands-on at a bench, using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to assemble components and perform quality control checks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders through participation in Production System daily activities to support safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team culture
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve workflow and enhance operational performance
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have relevant mechanical trade-qualified experience, ideally Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualifications. They will also possess experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in aerospace or high precision environments.

In addition, the candidate should have strong hands-on experience with bearings, bushes, and gears, as well as proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.

Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as well as a strong sense of ownership and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all work undertaken.
