Steel Frame Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Steel Frame Assembly Technician to join our production team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the assembly of steel wall frames, roof trusses, and joists.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with power hand tools, manual handling, and reading basic drawings and framing plans. You will work collaboratively with our team to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of tasks.

You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment and adhering to safety protocols at all times.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours/week) with Monday to Friday working hours and occasional Saturdays for overtime.

  • Build and assemble steel wall frames, roof trusses, and joists according to drafting plans.
  • Read and understand basic drawings and framing plans.
  • Manual handling, including 2-person lifts and general stacking.
  • Work collaboratively with a team, ensuring seamless coordination and timely completion of tasks.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent work ethic, honest, reliable, and punctual.
  • Experience in the use of hand and power tools - training is provided.
  • A general understanding of assembly work.
  • Comfortable with high-volume, repetitive work.
  • Current driver's license and reliable transport.
