Job Description:

Multiple Federal Government opportunities are available in Surry Hills and Parramatta.

This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.

The hourly rate is $60.26 plus superannuation.

We are seeking multiple APS6 Case Managers to join our team in Parramatta and Surry Hills.

The role involves assessing available information against legislative criteria and policies to determine the most suitable way to conduct Administrative Appeals Tribunal proceedings on behalf of our client.

The focus is on resolving matters in a timely manner without progressing to an AAT hearing, where possible.

This will be a varied and busy role that requires resilience and the ability to work in a changing environment.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Obtaining necessary information and advice to effectively resolve AAT matters.

Undertaking case management of complex AAT matters and analysing to develop options for early resolution.

Attending Case Conferences, Conciliations and Hearings conducted by the AAT.

Preparing documents detailing resolution options and outcomes at meetings.

Assessing and responding to priorities and risks, including risk to the participant, Scheme sustainability and our client.

Preparing and maintaining electronic record keeping, including evidence supporting decision-making processes and justifying conclusions reached during the case management process.

Case Management or Legal experience would be highly desirable.

Strong judgement and problem-solving skills.

Strong customer service and communication skills along with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy.

Having achieved a satisfactory level of technical, functional, and/or professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas.

Meeting the personal needs of individuals to build trust, encourage two-way communication, and strengthen relationships.

Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
