Job Overview

The Australian Taxation Office is seeking an experienced and skilled Cases Manager to join its Conduct, Performance and Reviews team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex and sensitive cases, providing expert advice to managers and senior executives, and contributing to a respectful, ethical and inclusive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and investigate complex and sensitive cases with guidance from the EL 1 Team leader
  • Interpret and apply relevant legislation, policy, and the ATO Enterprise Agreement
  • Write and present clear and credible briefings, reports and recommendations
  • Identify and escalate risks appropriately, providing informed analysis and options
  • Help improve HR policies and processes so that they are contemporary and best practice
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, including union representatives and managers, and contribute actively to a respectful, ethical and inclusive team culture

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in human resources or a related field
  • Proven experience in case management and investigation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
