We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Specialist Surgeon to join our team. As a Surgical Registrar, you will provide specialist referral surgical services to referring clinics from across Sydney and NSW.

Job Overview:

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Small Animal Specialist Surgeon to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary referral setting. You will be part of a dedicated team providing outstanding patient care and working closely with other specialists, including anaesthetists, VTS anaesthetic nurses, perioperative nurses, rotating interns, and critical care specialists.

The facilities at North Shore Veterinary Specialist Hospital include four custom-designed surgical theatres, fluoroscopic studies, comprehensive in-house laboratory facilities, and dedicated diagnostic imaging department with ultrasound rooms, digital X-ray, CT scanner, and MRI facility.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist referral surgical services to referring clinics
  • Work closely with other specialists to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified small animal specialist surgeon with diplomate or equivalent status (ACVS/ECVS/FANZCVS)
  • Residency trained candidates will also be considered
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
