Concrete Batch Plant Operator Role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to oversee the operation of a concrete batch plant.

This role offers excellent career development opportunities, with the chance to learn about concrete batching, scheduling, logistics, and plant operation in the construction industry.

  • Operate a front-end loader (FEL)
  • Interact regularly with customers, taking orders & scheduling deliveries
  • Work in a high-performing team, collaborating with other local plants to deliver positive outcomes for the company and the customer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Demonstrate safety and show leadership potential
  • Ensure all products adhere to strict quality requirements
  • Monitor all plant and equipment, scheduling & conducting maintenance as required
  • Manage maintenance & production tasks, including some level of manual handling
  • Deliver concrete to customers

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an effective communicator, has a team mentality, and can work unsupervised
  • Seeks a flexible roster that includes Saturday work and overtime
  • Holds a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence
  • Is looking to obtain Construction Card / White Card
  • Can physically perform all tasks associated with the position

We offer:

  • $31.77/hour, plus penalties, plus super
  • Monday – Friday, generally 6:00/7:00am – 3:30/4:00pm
  • Rostered half day Saturdays, working on average 3 p/month
  • 10-day training program on how to operate the agitator and slump concrete
  • Opportunity to obtain HR licence for the right candidate
  • FEL ticket (if not already achieved)
