Overview
The Department of Home Affairs is seeking a skilled Border Force Officer to join its ranks in Operation AEGIS. As a key member of this high-impact team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and safety of Australia's borders through leading compliance and enforcement activities.

About the Role
This APS4 position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about public safety and compliance. As a Border Force Officer, you will be responsible for leading teams, making strategic decisions, and ensuring operational effectiveness in this critical role.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a key member of Operation AEGIS, your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting proactive compliance checks and responding to breaches of conditions in collaboration with law enforcement agencies
• Representing the ABF at court proceedings related to compliance breaches and providing operational support to legal processes
• Participating in operational risk assessments and making decisions that uphold safety and compliance within the community

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
• Be an Australian Citizen and meet security clearance requirements (Baseline or Negative Vetting Level 1)
• Meet operational readiness standards, including medical, fitness, and psychometric requirements
• Subscribe to the ABF Oath or Affirmation and comply with uniform and equipment protocols, with specific roles potentially requiring operational safety training and use of personal defence equipment

Benefits
The Department of Home Affairs offers an attractive remuneration package, including salary, superannuation benefits, and flexible working conditions appropriate to the level of the position. This includes an estimated salary range of $74,049 - $79,871 per annum, plus 15.4% superannuation. The department also offers relocation assistance to eligible employees required to relocate.
