We are excited to announce an opportunity for a recent graduate in Human Resources to step into the role of Talent & Culture Coordinator on a Part-time basis, working three days a week with the potential for additional days during busy periods. This position is a six-month maternity leave contract.

Reporting directly to the Talent & Culture Manager, the successful candidate will deliver high-quality administrative support while assisting in the execution and enforcement of the hotel's Talent and Culture policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

  • Support the Talent & Culture Manager in recruitment, talent management, and development initiatives to align with the operational requirements of the hotel.
  • Provide ongoing assistance to team members regarding Talent & Culture-related issues, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure that all documentation for new hires, including application forms, visa checks, and onboarding paperwork, is complete and follow up as necessary.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees and manage terminations, including access to systems and distribution of hotel property as needed.
  • Monitor the completion of mandatory training for all employees, reporting to the Talent & Culture Manager and Heads of Department to ensure compliance.
  • Assist the Talent & Culture Manager in planning and executing employee wellbeing and engagement programs.
  • Participate in the implementation of corporate initiatives and projects to meet business needs and corporate timelines, such as engagement surveys and HRIS updates.
  • Execute month-end activities, including reporting.
  • Process departmental invoices using the designated software, adhering to financial schedules.
Qualifications

What we seek:

  • Entry-level experience in human resources within a dynamic environment is advantageous.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or Business Administration are essential.
  • Familiarity with the Hospitality Industry and understanding of relevant employment legislation is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and a personable demeanor are crucial. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging ideas for team members.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • A collaborative spirit with the ability to build rapport across all departments.
  • Goal-oriented with the capacity to work independently.
