**Water Infrastructure Specialist Needed**

We're seeking a highly skilled Waterways and Drainage Engineer to join our team. As part of our dynamic group, you'll be responsible for delivering innovative engineering solutions for complex water infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of hydrology, waterways, and drainage principles, as well as experience with surface water modeling tools like RORB, TUFLOW, DRAINS, and HEC-RAS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing technical solutions for bridge, culvert, floodway, waterway, wetland, and stormwater network designs.
  • Maintaining proficiency in 12D and DRAINS software for detailed drainage and stormwater design.
  • Collaborating with project teams to brief, assign, monitor, review, and provide feedback on project progress.
  • Engaging with our global storm and surface water service line for ongoing development and knowledge sharing.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality client experiences and repeat business.
  • Preparing high-quality project reports and digital deliverables to professional standards.
  • Managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables per our project delivery and QA systems.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members' technical development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 6–10+ years of experience in waterways, hydrology, or drainage engineering, including exposure to large infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in 12D, DRAINS, RORB, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, and other relevant hydraulic and hydrologic modeling tools.
  • Strong experience in client-facing roles and multidisciplinary project coordination.
  • Working knowledge of relevant Australian standards, ARR 2019, Austroads guidelines, and local authority requirements.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality technical work within project timeframes and budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or working toward accreditation is highly regarded.
