About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Manager to join our SMSF Specialist Team in Parramatta. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the workflow management of a specific SMSF portfolio, ensuring exceptional outcomes and quality of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and review the compliance work file, reporting deliverables, and audit outcomes on each fund within your portfolio.
  • Proactively liaise with clients, external auditors, ATO, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide technical advice to clients on the application of superannuation and taxation rules.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise working across services, including tax and accounting compliance and business/tax advisory work for middle market clients.
  • Assist in internal training and client events on SMSF topics of interest.
  • Effectively manage billing and internal risk procedures.
  • Develop into a mentor to assist other less experienced team members and encourage their continued professional development.
Requirements
  • Prior SMSF experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • Strong collaborative skills, a dedicated work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
  • Class Super experience is desired.
  • A passion for ongoing learning.
