Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our SMSF Specialist Team in Parramatta. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a specific SMSF portfolio, ensuring exceptional outcomes and quality of work.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and review the compliance work file, reporting deliverables, and audit outcomes on each fund within your portfolio.
- Proactively liaise with clients, external auditors, ATO, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Provide technical advice to clients on the application of superannuation and taxation rules.
- Develop and maintain technical expertise working across services, including tax and accounting compliance and business/tax advisory work for middle market clients.
- Assist in internal training and client events on SMSF topics of interest.
- Effectively manage billing and internal risk procedures.
- Develop into a mentor to assist other less experienced team members and encourage their continued professional development.
- Prior SMSF experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Strong collaborative skills, a dedicated work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
- Class Super experience is desired.
- A passion for ongoing learning.
