Job Title: Expert Mental Health NurseJoin our dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative care plans, providing expert clinical support to those in need.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including risk assessments, to identify patient needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Support individuals with alcohol and other drug (AOD) withdrawal, utilizing evidence-based practices to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans, incorporating psychosocial interventions to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Monitor and manage medications, collaborating with General Practitioners and AOD specialists to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Deliver high-quality mental health nursing support, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Provide education on mental health and referrals to external services, empowering patients to take control of their care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability in patient care.
  • Contribute to service improvement and clinical standards, driving excellence in mental health care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Approved tertiary qualification in Nursing.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Post-graduate qualification in Mental Health and/or Addictions is highly desirable.
  • Current National Police Clearance (no older than 6 months).
  • First Aid and CPR certificates: HLTAID011, HLTAID010, HLTAID009.
  • Working with Children Check.
