About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse Mental Health to provide expert clinical care and contribute to care plans at Tenacious House. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing and experience working with men navigating life-controlling issues.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments including risk assessments
  • Support clients with alcohol and other drugs (AOD) withdrawal
  • Develop and implement care plans, including psychosocial interventions
  • Monitor and manage medications, liaising with healthcare professionals
  • Deliver evidence-based mental health nursing support and collaborate with colleagues
  • Provide education about mental health and referrals to external services
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Contribute to service improvement and clinical standards

Qualifications and Certificates Required
  • Approved tertiary qualification in Nursing
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Post-graduate qualification in Mental Health is desirable
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • First Aid and CPR certificates: HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid, HLTAID010 - Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
