About this role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced psychiatrist to join our team. As a senior staff specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatry services to consumers of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service.

The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive skills in facilitating effective mental health care across various settings, including forensic mental health, prison, court, watch house, inpatient, and community settings.

">

You will also provide clinical leadership for the Mental Health clinical team and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

">
  • ">
  • A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia">
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Psychiatry with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA)">
  • Extensive skills in facilitating effective mental health care across various settings">
  • Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies">
