Support Children's Mental Health

This role involves working with children and young people who are showing early signs of or are at risk of developing a mental illness. The goal is to improve their wellbeing, enabling them to better participate in their communities and reach their full potential.

The Senior Child and Family Wellbeing Worker will deliver strength-based case management and activities to children, young people, and families in line with program guidelines. Outreach support is provided to assist in the development and implementation of child-centred family action plans.

To achieve this goal, we are looking for an individual who can effectively facilitate group sessions while managing a caseload. The ideal candidate will be able to motivate and support participants, foster a positive and dynamic group environment, and maintain strong, individualised attention to their caseload.

This position requires an enthusiastic and engaging person who can adapt to different situations. The ability to work as part of a small team and communicate effectively with key stakeholders is essential. Demonstrated experience in working with children, young people, and families is required, including First Nations and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people.
