High Voltage Transmission Specialist

We're seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Transmission Specialist to join our team at Energy Queensland.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Jointer to work with our HV & LV underground electrical cables, equipment, and plant. As a High Voltage Transmission Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our network by carrying out maintenance and repairs to our underground distribution network.
You will also construct and augment our underground distribution network to meet the changing needs of our residential and commercial customers and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will install, repair, commission, and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant that make up our vast underground distribution network.
What You'll Do- Carry out maintenance (preventative, planned, unplanned), and repairs to our underground distribution network.
- Construct and augment our underground distribution network to meet the changing needs of our residential and commercial customers and other stakeholders.
- Install, repair, commission, and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant that make up our vast underground distribution network.
- A Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certification as an Electrical Jointer (open or restricted).
- Experience in HV & LV paper lead cable jointing and familiarity with cable pulling.
- Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of an electrical network.
- Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship or an Australian permanent residency.
We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated $108,859 per annum plus 14.75% superannuation, plus applicable allowances. Positions are based at Townsville, Rockhampton, Toowoomba, or Brisbane.
