Tax Advisory Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Advisory Manager to join our Corporate Tax team at Pitcher Partners Australia. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with business owners and stakeholders to provide commercial solutions that drive meaningful outcomes.
With a broad client base, you will have the opportunity to develop deep technical expertise in taxation and apply it across various industries and sectors. Your role will involve providing advice on a range of technical tax issues, as well as partnering with clients to solve their broader business challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare tax consulting advice on division 7a, trust loss rules, capital gains tax, structuring, and corporate tax matters.
- Research current legislation and draft and finalise letters of advice.
- Cultivate and manage client relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Work with the ATO to efficiently resolve tax-related queries and audits.
- Project manage jobs and specific tasks when required.
- Review end-of-financial-year tax compliance documents for large and complex clients.
- Ensure appropriate tax documentation is prepared to support provided tax advice.
- Contribute to the delivery of internal and external training and business development initiatives.
- Mentor and manage junior team members.
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, law, or a relevant business field.
- 4-6+ years of experience in applying various taxation matters in a professional environment.
- Proven experience in delivering commercial taxation advice to clients from diverse backgrounds and sectors.
- Ability to produce well-researched and clearly articulated tax opinions and advice.
- Positive team player with the ability to contribute to successful client projects and manage junior team members.
- Effective communicator with the ability to build rapport, influence, and negotiate with internal and external clients.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage conflicting deadlines.
