Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Production Technician to join our team at our processing facility in Sydney.

In this role, you will operate production lines and ensure adherence to stringent food quality standards, maintaining the highest level of efficiency and productivity.

About the Role

As an Industrial Production Technician, your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain production equipment, including VFFS (Vertical Form Fill Seal) bagging machines, to ensure smooth production runs and meet quality standards.

You will also be responsible for setting up the machine correctly for each production run, following safety and quality guidelines, monitoring production to identify areas for improvement, and quickly fixing any machine issues to reduce downtime.

Your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet production deadlines will be crucial to the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain production equipment, including VFFS bagging machines, to ensure smooth production runs and meet quality standards.
  • Set up the machine correctly for each production run, following safety and quality guidelines.
  • Monitor production to identify areas for improvement and make adjustments as needed.
  • Quickly fix any machine issues to reduce downtime and minimize production losses.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance to keep equipment running well.
  • Work with team members to meet production targets and improve efficiency.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience as a machine operator, particularly with VFFS baggers in an FMCG setting.
  • Maintain a positive, proactive attitude with a keen interest in process improvement.
  • Be capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting to 10 kg.
  • Be comfortable working in a cold environment (2-4 degrees); PPE will be provided to keep you warm.
  • Possess basic math and reading skills.
  • Be eager to learn and adapt to daily challenges.
Benefits

This is a full-time position with competitive pay rate of $38.25 per hour. The role requires weekend availability and is based in Smeaton Grange, Sydney.
