Machine Operations Specialist

We are seeking a driven Production Machine Operator to join our team at their processing facility in Sydney.
In this position, you will operate production lines and ensure adherence to stringent food quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the VFFS (Vertical Form Fill Seal) bagging machine in a fast-paced setting.

• Set up the machine correctly for each production run, following safety and quality guidelines.

• Monitor production to ensure it runs smoothly and meets quality standards, adjusting as needed.

• Quickly fix any machine issues to reduce downtime.

• Perform regular inspections and maintenance to keep equipment running well.

• Work with team members to meet production targets and improve efficiency.

• Achieve output and line speed targets within set timeframes.

• Work in fast-paced production lines, ensuring quality and reliability.

• Ensure food safety standards are met.

Working Conditions:
Afternoon shift – 1:30pm to 9:30pm
Full time hours with weekend availability required Saturday. Pay rate: $38.25 per hour

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Proven experience as a machine operator, particularly with VFFS baggers in an FMCG setting.

• Maintain a positive, proactive attitude with a keen interest in process improvement.

• Be capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting to 10 kg.

• Be comfortable working in a cold environment (2-4 degrees); PPE will be provided to keep you warm

• Possess basic math and reading skills.

• Be eager to learn and adapt to daily challenges.

• Experience in the FMCG food industry is a plus, but not essential.

• Be available to work weekends as needed.

• Understand machine operation, maintenance, and safety protocols thoroughly.

• Effectively troubleshoot mechanical issues.

• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.

• Be team-oriented with strong communication skills.
