Emergency Communications Officer

About the Role:
The Fire Communications Officer will be responsible for accepting incoming emergency incident calls and enquiries, assessing risks, and despatching resources as needed. They will also maintain and update incident information, monitor alarm signals, and provide mentoring and guidance to new staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accept and assess emergency incident calls and enquiries
- Despatch resources as needed, maintaining and updating incident information
- Monitor alarm signals and respond accordingly
- Provide mentoring and guidance to new staff
Requirements:
- Valid Blue Card, Australian Citizenship or Resident Status, and Certificate III in Public Safety (Emergency Communications Centre Operations)
- Ability to successfully complete Communications Training and Professional Development Program
