Role Overview

We are seeking a Research Assistant to support our team in improving and maintaining healthy brain function throughout life.

The role will focus on dementia and healthy cardiovascular ageing within a larger research group, supporting clinical trials focused on intergenerational programs that bring together older adults and preschool children to create mutual benefits for both age groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and address bias in participant recruitment and assessment
  • Accurately complete research tasks following study protocols, including face-to-face assessments with older adults and preschool children in community settings
  • Attend and support intergenerational sessions, assist participants and manage equipment setup and pack down
  • Enter, clean and organise data using software such as Excel, SPSS, R or Python
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree in exercise physiology, psychology, health or allied fields
  • Experience working with older adults and/or children
  • Experience in clinical research including clinical trials
  • Demonstrated understanding of potential sources of bias inherent in data collection and cognitive testing
