This is an exciting opportunity to join Exact IT Consulting as a Principal Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's engineering practices and standards. As a technical leader, you will guide solution design to align with the company's strategies, ensuring direction and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead in design, architecture adoption, and coding best practices while guiding teams with evidence-based problem-solving.
- Ensure alignment with broader Technology Strategy by working closely with Enterprise Architecture.
- Champion and enforce software engineering best practices and effective governance.
- Oversee technology and tooling for innovative product development across new and existing platforms.
- Collaborate with business users to analyze requirements and document solution options, considering long-term impacts.
- Mentor development teams and ensure adherence to best practices, delivering stable and scalable software solutions.
- Enhance security through better practices, collaborating with the Cyber Security team to mitigate risks and stay updated on evolving threats.
- Continuously improve development processes and platforms, sharing knowledge of new technologies and best practices within the team.
Technical Requirements:
- Solid.NET and/or Java knowledge.
- Extensive experience in designing and developing software systems that are highly available, scalable, and reliable.
- Experience leveraging AWS native services to build software solutions.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with messaging frameworks like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
