Job Overview

The Branch Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving the branch's growth through strategic planning, team coaching, and business development.

About This Role

This is a permanent, full-time position located in Newcastle. To succeed in this role, you'll be expected to:

  • Develop, coach, and manage staff performance to achieve business objectives.
  • Prioritise business performance through tracking KPIs, reporting, and creating strategic plans.
  • Build and nurture community relationships by working closely with the Community Bank board and participating in events.
  • Lead by example, prioritising the customer experience, and stepping in wherever the branch needs you.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to develop, coach, and manage staff performance.
  • Proven sales mentorship skills through implementing strategies to drive business.
  • Experience in residential and commercial lending (advantageous).
  • Strong communication skills to deliver clear branch expectations.
  • Understanding of financial management, business acumen, and risk framework.
  • The ability to drive operational efficiencies and maintain high standards of compliance.
