Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Sport Coordinator to lead and develop sport across our whole College. This is a key role that requires courage, vision, and leadership to drive positive change in our sporting programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating annual College carnivals, developing partnerships with students, parents, and staff, and ensuring the highest standards of WHS and Child Safe requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Leadership:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the College's vision for sport and physical activity participation levels.
  • Prepare and coordinate sport dates for the College calendar.
  • Develop relationships with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive sporting environment.
  • Ensure all sporting activities meet the highest standards of WHS and Child Safe requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive development plan for K-12 sport.
  • Liaise with maintenance teams to ensure facilities are ready for sporting activities.
  • Attend sports meetings and professional development programs as required.
Carnival Coordination:
  • Coordinate annual College carnivals that engage students and contribute to a positive culture.
  • Ensure each event has a risk assessment and management plan.
School Representative Pathways:
  • Coordinate communication and administration for eligible students attending trials.
  • Maintain knowledge of trial dates and communicate with students and parents.
Team Management:
  • Promote team sport participation and coordinate staff involvement.
  • Organize trials for team selection and support coaches.
Camp Coordination:
  • Plan and administer the camp program, including risk assessments and logistics.
