About Our School

We seek to engage a person who would like to join our dynamic College community as a Learning Support Officer, working up to 60 hours per fortnight (flexible and negotiable).

Learning Support Officers undertake essential work supporting children with diverse learning needs. A Learning Support Officer may be assigned one student for specialised support, or a number of students within the classroom environment. Applicants should expect to work across K-12 classrooms.

Accredited LSO's (Certificate III/IV in School Based Education Support), those with experience in a secondary co-educational setting and former teachers are all strongly encouraged to apply.

About You

As part of the Learning Support Team you will assist the classroom teacher in providing a quality Catholic education focused on maximising student outcomes, through a holistic, student centred curriculum.

To excel in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• an understanding of the needs of the diverse needs of students who require individual and classroom support
• ability to work collaboratively with teachers as a team member
• excellent communication skills
• ability to be organised, supportive and resourceful
• a willingness to support the positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for students.

You will have attained or are open to work towards:

• a Certificate III or IV in Educational Support from TAFE NSW or equivalent post-secondary qualification.
