About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our passionate catering team at RFBI Moonbi Masonic Village. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality food service to our residents. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the preparation and presentation of meals meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure compliance with food safety programs, providing high-quality, efficient, and effective service.
  • Dining Area Preparation: Prepare the dining area for meal times, serving food and drinks to our residents in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean work environment, ensuring all cleaning and dishwashing is done in a timely manner.
  • Meal Preparation: Assist the head chef with the preparation of meals, adhering to health and nutritional standards.
  • Catering for Special Functions: Assist in catering for special functions and events, ensuring high-quality service and presentation.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Cook who is passionate about delivering high-quality food service. You will have a strong understanding of food safety principles, knowledge of special dietary needs for the elderly, and a working knowledge of WHS responsibilities, including manual handling principles.
