Job Role Overview

  • The primary responsibility of a Mobile Equipment Technician is to perform regular servicing and maintenance on customer-owned forklifts, as well as other lifting equipment.
  • This includes planned maintenance (PMP) and inspections to ensure all machinery is in good working order.
  • New machine builds and modifications are also essential aspects of the role.

We require a dedicated professional who can deliver high-quality service solutions to our customers. As a Mobile Equipment Technician, you will be required to travel regularly to customer sites to undertake various service tasks.

This position offers variety and flexibility, ensuring that no two days are ever the same. You may find yourself performing planned maintenance one day, followed by emergency breakdowns or challenging overhauls the next.

You will report directly to the Service Manager and work collaboratively with a supportive team at our Mackay branch.

To be considered for this role, we require candidates with a trade background in automotive mechanics. Ideally, you will have experience working with electrical and hydraulic systems. Strong communication skills, reliability, and punctuality are also essential.

As a successful candidate, you will appreciate the opportunity to work independently while being part of a close-knit team. This role requires minimal supervision, allowing you to take ownership of your tasks and responsibilities.
