Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical support for on-site MPUs and explosive delivery equipment
  2. Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs in the field
  3. Assist with calibration, system checks, and operational readiness of mobile units
  4. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in remote environments
  5. Complete and submit service reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation
  6. Support the commissioning and decommissioning of field equipment as needed
  7. Collaborate with blasting teams and site supervisors to ensure equipment availability
  8. Promote and adhere to safety protocols in mining or industrial sites
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade qualification in mechanical, automotive, or diesel fitting
  • Experience in mobile equipment servicing or field-based technical support
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability in hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Current manual driver's license (HR license desirable or willingness to obtain)
  • Familiarity with explosive delivery systems (MPUs) is advantageous
  • Sound understanding of safety and environmental protocols in mining or industrial sites
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or in small teams
  • A current explosives security clearance or the ability to obtain
  • Physical fitness and readiness for demanding work
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management systems, tech-tools and other relevant computer software
