Fleet Operations Leader

The Fleet Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the fleet operations team.
- Coordinate vehicle movements, driver dispatch, route compliance, and maintenance scheduling to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of vehicles and goods.
- Monitor real-time fleet performance using GPS and fleet management systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records on vehicle availability, usage, and downtime to inform decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of fleet vehicles.
- Lead regular team meetings and provide performance feedback and development to ensure team members are equipped to succeed.
- Ensure adherence to all transport legislation, including fatigue management, NHVR, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), and company policies.
- Conduct or oversee incident investigations and support safety audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to reduce vehicle downtime and improve overall fleet efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fleet control, logistics coordination, or transport operations.
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience required to lead a team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of fleet management systems and transport compliance standards.
- Familiarity with high-pressure or 24/7 operational environments.
