About the Position

HDR is a leader in the transit industry, working on some of the largest and most complex projects worldwide.

The company collaborates with clients throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and preliminary design to construction oversight and program management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the concept and design of vehicle and transit maintenance facilities for various project sizes.
  • Coordinate professional staff work and oversee project development.
  • Lead maintenance facility design staff and resources, review all project phases, and manage cross-functional teams across time zones.
  • Participate in client meetings and design development sessions.
  • Coordinate workload, monitor project schedules, and manage budgets effectively.
  • Serve as primary manager of production teams when required.
  • Handle facility programming, report writing, site planning, and develop specifications accurately.
  • Coordinate design aspects, vendor relations, and review submittals and RFIs efficiently.
  • Conduct construction observations and other engineering tasks as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • At least 12 years of experience in project management within design or engineering fields.
