The Role

We are in search of skilled Solicitors to enhance our distinguished Band 1 Dispute Resolution team based in Sydney.

In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with esteemed partners and senior legal professionals within the group. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse array of tasks supporting local, national, and international clients in general commercial litigation, which includes handling commercial disputes, class actions, various regulatory issues, and other intricate and strategic conflicts.

Your role will involve delivering exceptional client service, managing case files, identifying potential issues, and proactively offering solutions. You will play a vital part in initiatives aimed at expanding business opportunities with both existing and prospective clients. As a key member of a dynamic and innovative team, you will also engage with colleagues across our interstate and international offices.

We will ensure you gain extensive client exposure and opportunities to cultivate a network of professional relationships. You will benefit from exceptional learning experiences while working alongside a team of highly driven and collaborative legal practitioners.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience in providing technical legal advice on a variety of commercial litigation matters, including financial services regulatory and insurance issues, either from a top-tier private practice or an in-house setting;
  • Ideally, possess 2-4 years of legal experience, although we are open to considering candidates with varying levels of experience;
  • A strong academic background complemented by robust legal skills and a practical approach;
  • A proactive mindset and a desire to be an integral part of our leading and supportive team;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, both collaboratively and independently;
  • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to foster collegiality within a team;
  • A genuine eagerness to learn and grow, contributing to the maintenance of a market-leading practice.
