Secondary Generalist Teacher

Carnarvon Community College is seeking to establish a pool of Secondary Generalist Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Provide a learning environment that is caring, engaging, and differentiated to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Deliver the Western Australian Curriculum and demonstrate a strong understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework.

As a Secondary Generalist Teacher, you will ideally be able to teach one or more learning areas, preferably Mathematics, Science, English, Digital Technologies and/or Humanities and Social Sciences.

You should have strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students successfully. Flexibility, a strong work ethic, and positive, productive partnerships with students, colleagues, and the community are valued.

Eligibility and Qualifications

  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department's Screening Unit before starting
