Teaching Role in Design and Technology

Carnarvon Community College is an Independent Public School that offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated teacher to join our team.

This fixed-term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026 has the potential for extension and/or permanency. Our school serves students and families of all ages across Carnarvon.

About the Role
  • Teach Design and Technology (Materials and Technology) with flexibility to contribute across other subject areas.
  • Demonstrate sound classroom management, develop rapport and motivate students, and differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs.
  • Engage in professional learning and liaise with colleagues, parents, and external networks.
  • Work effectively in a Technologies Learning Area team and support initiatives and programs in Design and Technology.
Requirements
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
