Job Description:

The Senior Educational Leader will report directly to the Head of Campus and play a central role in the day-to-day leadership and operations of the school.

About The Role

This operationally focused leadership role requires a strong commitment to school improvement and closing educational equity gaps, alongside well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Lead the development and implementation of effective and responsive timetabling systems to optimise student achievement.
  • Drive school-wide initiatives that support student wellbeing, behaviour, and post-detention pathways.
  • Foster and maintain strong partnerships with inter-agency stakeholders and community organisations to support and enhance educational delivery within the detention setting.
  • Deliver a key strategic leadership portfolio as part of a cohesive and supportive senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of effective and responsive timetabling systems to optimise student achievement.

They will also drive school-wide initiatives that support student wellbeing, behaviour, and post-detention pathways.

In addition, they will foster and maintain strong partnerships with inter-agency stakeholders and community organisations to support and enhance educational delivery within the detention setting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A strong commitment to school improvement and closing educational equity gaps is essential. In addition, well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
