Veterinary Emergency Nurse

AEC (Animal Emergency Centre) is a leading provider of emergency veterinary services across Australia. We are seeking dedicated Veterinary Nurses to join our teams at Moorabbin, Mount Waverley, and Frankston.
About the RoleAs a Veterinary Emergency Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering top-notch emergency and critical care services to our patients. You will work closely with our skilled veterinarians to ensure our patients receive the highest level of medical attention and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional nursing care to critically ill and injured patients under supervision
- Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments as required
- Assist with emergency procedures, surgeries, and diagnostics
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
- Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with the veterinary team and pet owners
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood sampling, and anesthesia monitoring advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to animals and their owners
- Competitive salary ($70,000-$90,000 per year)
