Stratospheric Physics Research and Education Leader

UNSW Australia offers an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor in Stratospheric Physics to join our School of Science at UNSW Canberra. The estimated annual salary range is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000.

Job DescriptionThis dynamic role blends research and education, where you'll assume the position of Station Director at the Balloon Launching Station in Alice Springs NT. You will work closely with colleagues to craft publication, guide students, drive grant applications, and make meaningful contributions in both academia and research.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A PhD in a related discipline or relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated aptitude in Atmospheric physics, electronics, stratospheric ballooning.
- Proven commitment to staying up-to-date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Capability to contribute to and build on the School's research and teaching.
- Ability to manage large-scale projects, including contract negotiations, tender evaluations, risk, and budget plans.
