About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join our team in Australia and New Zealand. As a Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of commissioning professionals who deliver data center capacity to support Amazon's growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of commissioning engineers to ensure the quality and reliability of electrical and mechanical systems for our customers.
  • Develop and manage quality-focused initiatives to drive innovation and continuous improvements.
  • Communicate and provide guidance to Finance during capital budgeting, making data-driven decisions to deliver predictable cost estimations.
  • Create standards and build consensus with a broad spectrum of stakeholders on cross-functional teams that will operate to deliver on the quality policy.
  • Participate in all projects and company safety programs.
About the Team

You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Controls Engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in any one of the following areas: Commissioning; Mechanical/Electrical/Controls Design; Construction Project Management; Control System installation or maintenance; HVAC testing and balancing; Facilities operations and/or maintenance.
  • 3+ years' experience in people management: hiring; organizational planning; building a team; performance management; mentoring; coaching.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years' experience with goal setting and metrics development, business case analysis to justify project scope and financial position for management review.
  • 5+ years' experience in delivering mission critical/complex infrastructures in either mechanical/electrical/controls systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical or control systems.
