Energy Markets Consultant

This role entails a comprehensive approach to market modelling, encompassing the entire project lifecycle from conceptualisation to delivery.

The primary objective of this position is to spearhead and execute the end-to-end market modelling process for Client projects. This involves designing modelling inputs, running models, and conducting thorough quality checks on the outputs.

Key outcomes of the modelling process include essential metrics that assess projects' financial viability, namely prices and revenues. These metrics are instrumental in informing both early-stage feasibility assessments as well as advanced-stage evaluations such as buy- and sell-side transactions processes.

  • Developing innovative solutions and suggesting enhancements to the modelling process to foster continuous improvement.

Strong analytical, modelling, and data handling skills applied to wholesale electricity market fundamentals are essential for this role. Additionally, experience in power market business models across diverse asset classes and commercial aspects of energy markets is highly valued.

A deep understanding of power markets, coupled with strong communication and presentation skills, is also crucial for success in this position. Effective team working and a proven track record of collaboration are equally important.
