We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our Mining Equipment Division in a dynamic workshop environment.
The successful candidate will oversee people, safety, and performance, leading a team of skilled tradespeople and driving a strong safety culture through SWMS, pre-starts, and toolbox talks.
The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical, or Fabrication trade, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment.
They will also possess strong knowledge of underground or surface mining equipment, solid budgeting and cost management experience, and the ability to manage planned maintenance programs, refurbishments, and component replacement.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and motivate a team of skilled tradespeople.
- Report on workshop performance, budgets, and cost control.
- Drive a strong safety culture by overseeing SWMS, pre-starts, and toolbox talks.
- Oversee fault diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance across a range of diesel-powered mining equipment.
- Manage planned maintenance programs, refurbishments, and component replacement.
- Ensure compliance with quality expectations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workshop operations.
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical, or Fabrication trade.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment.
- Strong knowledge of underground or surface mining equipment.
- Solid budgeting and cost management experience.
- Experience with Microsoft suite.
- A proactive, accountable, and safety-first mindset.
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Valid driver's licence, with forklift licence and other tickets advantageous.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening.
