Job Title: Shelter Operations Coordinator

Synopsis:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Shelter Operations Coordinator. This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week at our animal shelter.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate strategies and operations of the Animal Shelter Team including collaboration with external partners.
  • Supervise staff and ensure they are trained, qualified and well presented as front-line employees.
  • Manage rosters to ensure adequate coverage for core hours and weekends.
  • Prepare and respond to written and verbal enquiries, including legislative reviews, statistics and reports.
  • Monitor, edit and respond to online platforms in relation to animal shelter activities.
  • Implement strategies to enhance rehoming, education and responsible pet ownership and relationship building with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Management or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in leading a team.
  • Experience in monitoring and planning budgets.
  • Demonstrated effective time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Proof of Australian residency, citizenship or authority to work in Australia.
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
