Site Event Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Site Events Manager to support the General Manager and Fulfillment Center (FC) Operations team at our Robotics Site in Kemps Creek.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, extremely detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to handle confidential information, as well as demonstrate the ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities.
Please note that the shift structure is based on a business need. (Monday to Friday)
Working hours: 7:00am to 4:00pm with flexibility required for overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and logistics for large-scale events with 250+ attendees in a given time.
- Coordinate with multiple departments and external vendors to ensure seamless event operations across different shift patterns.
- Develop and maintain a database of reliable suppliers, contractors, and temporary staff to support large-scale events across various shift patterns.
- Conduct thorough post-event evaluations, analysing feedback from staff across all shifts to continuously improve event planning and execution.
- Compile team goals, track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on outstanding items,
- Conduct clerical duties, including filing, full office management, responding to emails, preparing documents.
- Support with calendar management for general manager and attend leadership meetings and managing actions.
- Assist with internal communications for associates and leadership among multiple platforms, interfaces, and programs,
- Think and plan ahead, delegate responsibilities appropriately and manage time effectively,
- Serve as representative on department team-building and improvement activities and peer recognition
A Day in the Life:
As an events planner at Amazon's bustling warehouse, no two days are ever the same. The role is all about creating engaging experiences that bring the warehouse community together. Between decorating event spaces, and facilitating interactive activities, the role will be constantly multitasking to ensure everything runs smoothly. It's a fast-paced environment and a day 1 culture making the days exciting at BWU2.
Requirements:
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
- 2+ years administrative support experience in a related field,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines,
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituent groups such as senior management, peers, and outside contacts,
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or 2+ years of Amazon experience as a full-time employee,
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail,
- Passion and enthusiasm for the Amazon vision,
- Strong organisational and communication skills, team orientated philosophy, and problem solving skills,
- High levels of integrity and discretion.
