Job Title

A seasoned project leader is required to manage complex acquisition and sustainment activities across heavy armoured vehicle fleets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project schedules, risk registers, and performance baselines to achieve agreed milestones.
  • Provide expert guidance on project management and commercial practices in the development of acquisition strategies, tender evaluations, contract negotiations, and performance management of industry partners.
  • Coordinate foreign military sales processes, including stakeholder engagement with government agencies, OEMs, and compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Integrate project management activities with engineering, ILS, and sustainment functions to deliver coherent capability outcomes.
  • Prepare and present reports, briefs, and documentation to senior stakeholders and industry partners.
Requirements:
  • Essential: Demonstrated defence project management experience within a related environment.
  • Essential: Strong commercial acumen and experience applying ASDEFCON contracting frameworks, drafting contractual documentation, and leading tender evaluation processes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, law, engineering, or project management (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of the defence capability life cycle and acquisition governance requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across government, industry primes, and subcontractors.
  • Current or ability to obtain NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
