Carpenter - Copper and Zinc Roofing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at The Copper and Zinc Roofing Company. As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation and maintenance of our premium roofing systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Measure, Cut, and Shape Materials: Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials according to project specifications.
- Roof Framing and Installation: Construct and install roof framing, including trusses, rafters, and decking, to support copper and zinc roofing materials.
- Underlayment and Insulation: Install underlayment, insulation, and moisture barriers to prepare roofing surfaces.
- Copper and Zinc Roofing: Fabricate and install copper and zinc roofing panels, flashing, gutters, and downspouts.
- Weatherproofing: Apply sealants, solder joints, and other weatherproofing techniques to ensure the integrity of the roofing system.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with roofing team members, including installers and technicians, to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Safety Protocols: Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing copper and zinc roofing systems as needed.
- Communication: Communicate with project managers and clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.
- Construction White Card: Construction White Card, and Working at Heights qualifications preferred;
- Relevant Qualification: Relevant qualification preferred;
- Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in proven experience in carpentry, roofing, or a related field;
- Copper and Zinc Roofing: Familiarity with copper and zinc roofing materials and installation techniques preferred;
- Carpentry Tools: Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment, including saws, drills, and nail guns;
- Blueprints and Drawings: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and roofing plans;
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship;
- Physical Stamina: Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions;
- Teamwork and Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills;
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
