Risk Management Specialist

This role involves the implementation of effective risk management strategies, tools and processes across the organisation to identify, assess, record and mitigate risks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting regular meetings, workshops and consultation sessions with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate identification and assessment of risks.
  • Acting as a key point of contact on matters related to risk management, including providing support and advice to stakeholders during risk identification, assessment, review and mitigation.
  • Supporting the review of risk information provided by stakeholders for quality, accuracy, completeness and appropriateness.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of a risk management roadmap, tools, processes and systems.
  • Participating in the development and facilitation of risk training and awareness programs to embed risk management across the organization.
  • Providing regular reporting to stakeholders on risk management activities to ensure oversight by senior management and executive leadership.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of applicable risk management standards and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting risk consultation, workshop facilitation and risk awareness training.
  • Ability to assess complex risk scenarios, interpret data and develop practical mitigation strategies.
  • Capability to build relationships across diverse teams and clearly convey risk concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with preparing risk reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
