Job Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Service Assistant in the hotel services sector of the hospital and aged care facilities on Kangaroo Island. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a beautiful and remote location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation, service, and delivery of food to clients
  • General housekeeping duties
Requirements
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to drive on country roads
  • Flexibility and commitment to participate in a rostering system (including weekends as required)
  • At minimum, a limited level of experience in the areas of housekeeping, cooking/catering, and laundry
  • Experience working with Aboriginal consumers
  • Basic knowledge of safe working conditions, Food Safety Standards, and Infection Control Standards (including cleaning and sanitizing processes)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable Qualifications
  • Successful completion of Year 11 High School or equivalent
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • Experience in the areas of housekeeping, cooking/catering, and laundry
Salary and Benefits

The successful applicant will be offered a competitive salary of $27.93 - $28.23 per hour, plus 25% casual loading. Additionally, you will have access to a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional development.

Immunisation Requirements

Candidates must be willing to undergo a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements, which include a National Police Certificate for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups.
