Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hospital Assistant on Kangaroo Island. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing exceptional support services in the hotel services sector of the hospital and aged care facilities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a unique environment, with the picturesque backdrop of Kangaroo Island. As a Hospital Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a range of duties including food preparation and delivery, housekeeping, and general maintenance tasks.

The Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be flexible and committed to participating in a rostering system, and have a basic knowledge of safe working conditions, Food Safety Standards, and Infection Control Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver meals to clients
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks including laundry and cleaning
  • Assist with catering and event services as required

Requirements

  • A current driver's licence and willingness to drive on country roads
  • Flexibility and commitment to participate in a rostering system (including weekends as required)
  • A minimum of limited experience in housekeeping, cooking/catering, and laundry
  • Experience working with Aboriginal consumers desirable
