About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Diploma Early Childhood Educator to join our team at our Sydney campuses. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education, development, and care to children in our care, while also supporting the wider team to ensure our children are inspired to learn in a safe and exciting learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure child safety and welfare at all times by actively supervising and interacting with children.
- Develop and implement programs that promote children's learning and development, in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework.
- Mentor and support a team of educators to ensure high-quality practice and delivery of programs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and families to ensure a positive partnership and to provide regular updates on children's learning and development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and ensure ongoing input for all documentation associated with QIP requirements.
- Ensure delivery and maintenance of routines and programs specific to the room, including small groups, and implement the Grow curriculum within the Campus.
- Document the children's learning through the OAC Connect app, supporting and mentoring other team members.
- Create and set up interesting learning environments for the children in line with OAC Grow.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure our children are inspired to learn in a safe and exciting learning environment.
Requirements
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognised Registered Training Organisation (or equivalent ACECQA approved qualifications)
- Minimum of two years full-time relevant work experience
- A genuine passion for Early Childhood education and development
- A creative, supportive and cooperative team player
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee)
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF
