Overview of the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated investment analyst to join our dynamic Investment Solutions team at Challenger, an ASX-listed investment management firm managing $127 billion in assets. As an analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our operations, research, and trade execution efforts.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years' experience in a similar institution and possess a strong understanding of financial markets and instruments across multiple asset classes, including derivatives.

About the Team & Environment

The Solutions team provides investment advice and execution services to Australian super funds and designs and creates investment products for institutional investors. We are a small but dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the smooth implementation of client transactions by liaising with operations teams, market counterparties, and clients.
  • Execute, book, and post-trade manage client trades, requiring strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn about derivative products.
  • Assist in the preparation of investment ideas and research materials for clients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary education in finance or a related field (strong GPA preferred).
  • Familiarity with operational workflows associated with financial market transactions and portfolio management.
  • Experience with derivatives and financial markets in general.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative and responsibility for your tasks.
