About the Role
Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and sustain a sales-driven store culture while achieving profitable sales growth. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and embedding a sales-focused strategy through effective coaching and development frameworks.
- Actively promoting and shaping a sales-oriented culture through performance management, leadership, recruitment, onboarding, retention, communication, talent development, and recognition.
- Ensuring a consistently positive experience for customers and effectively resolving any complaints or inquiries.
- Monitoring financial performance through profitable sales, inventory management, and controlling expenses, including labor management.
- Developing knowledge and setting expectations to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, particularly regarding Consumer Law and Safety.
- Upholding The Good Guys brand image to the highest standards, including visual merchandising, in-store marketing, and employee presentation.
- Establishing governance and management controls to align store activities with core policies and standard operating procedures.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and participating in community engagement and public relations activities.
About You
- Proven experience in leading multi-site and/or large format retail operations.
- Extensive retail experience with knowledge across various store functions such as sales, operations, or merchandising.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, complex teams across sales, merchandise, customer service, or operations.
- Commercially focused with experience managing profit and loss and various store metrics.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders across the business.
